Patagonia Films presents The Yin & Yang of Gerry Lopez, directed by award-winning filmmaker Stacy Peralta. It follows one of the most influential surfers and surfboard shapers of all time as he brings surfing to new frontiers while pursuing stillness of body and mind. It’s going to be an epic night! We have an opening performance by the traditional dance troop Bumi Bajra, plus a big entranceway sculpture from Make a Scene, as well as a table for making your own free shirt for the first 100 people through the doors. 
A New Villa with Jay Nelson We are currently creating The Residences at Uluwatu Surf Villas. There will be 11 residences in total once completed. We created Residence 2 with artist, surfer, shaper, and craftsman Jay Nelson, after he came and stayed with us in 2019. 
Jay says about his work: “I’m interested in architectural forms because of the weight they carry in our lives. On the most basic level, they provide us with a safe place to rest and think but they also determine the way we interact with each other and create a frame for the outside world. Arranging the pieces of a structure is infinite and those arrangements make us who we are. While working through projects I have come to consider the different pieces of a structure, how these parts are arranged and what they represent. A window is a way of directing a person’s gaze towards a view or an idea I want to share. I use furniture to influence interaction with a space an artwork or another person. The roof and walls encourage privacy, intimacy, and inwardness. Lighting draws the gaze.”
