This space takes our breath away. We can already imagine some incredible small weddings down here with the waves as your backdrop. Or yoga retreats where you time your poses and breath with the waves and wind.
The new deck is made from reclaimed teak and ironwood and is accessible for all guests via the same stairs that take you to the private beach. For the moment, we’re enjoying having drinks in the shade while we watch friends surf. See you down here soon.
The Patagonia & Gerry Lopez film night was beyond anything we expected. We ended up having over 500 happy people join us, gave out 100 free event T-shirts, scored a beautiful sunset, and had an amazing opening performance by Bumi Bajra. If you were able to join us, thank you! Hopefully, like us, you won’t forget that night for a while.
The second film night was from the Bali 1928 archive, a very special Balinese-American initiative repatriating footage and recordings from the 1920s and 1930s. Bringing back these ‘lost films’ to Bali is giving voice to Bali’s oldest living generation and bringing to light their disappearing traditions. We were very happy to host a screening night at Mana.
